Glee/Hunger Games ideas
Every new Hunger Games, the former Victors (and their families) are brought to the Capitol to lay witness. This is the story of Blaine Anderson victor from District 6 and Kurt Hummel son of a Victor from District 3 fall in love and survive.
Blaine Anderson is chosen for the games at the age of 12. He comes from District 5. His mentors are former Victors Sue Sylvestor and (undecided older male). His token is a pocketwatch, an Anderson family heirloom. His natural charm and young age earn him a record number of Sponsors throughout the game. He recieves a three for his training score.
On the first day at the bloodbath by the Cornucopia, he’s almost killed when another tribute grabs him by his long curls. Blaine manages to grab a sword and chop of their hand before fleeing into the rocky outcroppings nearby. Later he uses the sword to chop most of his hair off. Due to his size and his penchant for hiding he manages to last longer than anyone expects. And he out runs the few people who find him.
When the arena is down to the final four and they are all forced back towards the Cornucopia, Blaine finally is forced to fight someone. The District 10 male tribute attacks him and Blaine manages to fend him off temporarily. He only survives because the female tribute from District 3 kills the boy from behind. (idea: Blaine and her bonded a little during training with their mutual love of music) She offers to team up with Blaine as they would have better luck killing the last tribute, male from District 1, together. Blaine agrees, partly because he’s a gentlemen and also because that tribute terrified him in training.
They engage the tribute and manage to give him a good fight. Suddenly Blaine is tossed away and the boy stabs the girl. Blaine is enraged and jumps the boy. The element of surprise is on his side and he quickly bashes the boys head repeatedly into the rocky terrain. When the canon sounds he jumps back in shock over what he’d done. Blaine goes back to the dying girl and offers to sit with her til she’s gone. But she asks him to reach into her pockets and pull out a vial of poison that she had been using on her weapons. She then tells him that he doesn’t deserve to watch her die and she knows he wouldn’t kill an injured girl so she asks him to look away. When he does she drinks the poison and dies, Blaine turns back and closes her eyes.
Thus Blaine Anderson, the 12 year old boy from District 5 who had the lowest training score, wins the Hunger Games. When he is 16 he helps Sue train one Santana Lopez who goes on to win her own game. (Santana’s grandmother was one of the Victors in the early games.)
Burt Hummel is a victor from Distict 3. Will Shuester only won his game because his District partner Terri refused to let them lose. Emma Pillsbery won her game but developed OCD afterwards. Shannon Bieste dominated her game as did Sue Sylvestor. When the 75th Games, Blaine is now in his 20’s) come along most are lucky not to be chosen. Blaine and Santana are chosen but her grandmother and Blaine’s former trainer volunteer claiming they are old and are prepared to die.
